I had never met Kristen & Mike before the shoot, they found me online by random search. We had a great time, have tons in common, climbing, cycling, surfing, political and social views. It was like being with old friends, made the time go by too fast. After finally getting our schedules to mesh, we got together to do our shoot planned for the beach. Well needless to say the fog was pretty bad, so with what little light we had fading, we headed uphill fast to a new location. Kristen and Mike were awesome but the light was, well, basically non-existent and flat. Despite this we managed to get a few good ones with a soft diffused look to them as well as some of the endless fog bank rolling in from the ocean. I hope to schedule another shoot with K&M again, in ‘real’ light, maybe even on the beach…

That’s the beach under that cloud blanket…

Beach, Mtns, wherever… These guys are psyched to be together!

A toned image with a vintage feeling.

My favorite.

My next fav…

Being climbers, I couldn’t resist the rock foreground.

Here’s an assortment from Maureen & Esteban’s recent engagement session in Long Beach.
Believe it or not ‘someone’ was a bit nervous when we started, not naming any names (starts with an M…) needless to say it didn’t show in the images! We had a good time, M&E were great. Looking forward to the wedding next year!
Getting started, looking pretty nervous to me…

My wife Kelley really likes this one…

A nice simple portrait.

It’s impossible for M not to look cute…

This is my favorite image from the shoot, will be an awesome big canvas print, classic So. Cal. scene. Couldn’t decide which one of these next two I like best so I included both…

Another of my wife’s favs, she’s a sucker for sunsets…

Got a couple more after the sun went down…

Looking pretty comfortable in front of the camera now…

Earlier this year the French climbing magazine ‘Escalade’ featured a couple of my climbing images and a short bio. Here’s a link to site.
